Today I’m sharing Earthenware Ceramics Brand Design, a passion project. In total transparency, the last month and a half has been SLOW for me. As a business owner, slow seasons are HARD. Feelings of doubt, failure, insecurities, discouragement flood in. I got to the point where I could either push through, create, and gain momentum, or throw in the towel. With the help of some incredible friends in my community, I put on my big girl pants and pushed through.
Before I dive into this project in more detail, I’ll talk a little about passion projects. A passion project is a conceptual project to help build in skill and your portfolio. I use this process to design something I might not have an opportunity to. This is the first passion project that I’ve completed and actually shared. Needless to say, I’m both excited and nervous.
Earthenware Ceramics Brand Design
This brand design relies on natural elements, a stylized typeface, and a neutral color palette to portray a modern approachable feeling. The connecting of letterforms is symbolizes the importance of community involvement. Hand-painted textural elements represent the natural materials necessary to create ceramics.
What makes up a good brand
Your brand is not only colors and a strong logo. It includes your voice, brand’s personality, verbiage, and tone. Your brand shouldn’t just be filled with all of your personal preferences. However, as the business owner, you should be woven into your brand. Whether that’s the messaging, client process, or reasoning behind a certain illustration.
