Work-from-Home Walking Setup
I don’t know about you, but sitting at a desk all day every day just does not work for me. When I started seeing content creators walk and work, I knew I had to join in. Walking and working have dramatically increased my confidence, productivity, and focus. My back and hips hurt less, and I find myself in an overall better mood throughout the workday. Since making a reel about my work-from-home walking setup, I’ve received many questions about what products I use in my office. I’m no gatekeeper, so here’s everything I use when I walk and work from home. I cannot recommend making this a part of your workday routine.
No. 1 Walking Pad
First and most important is my walking pad. This is easily my favorite purchase for my home office. It not only gets me at least 10,000 steps each day but increases my productivity and gives me a MAJOR confidence boost. For real, put on a bomb playlist and have fun with it! Need a good walking playlist? I got you, check out my Spotify playlist here! Many walking pads on Amazon have an adjustable arm bar, but I didn’t need one. This particular one I found does not have an arm bar and has a Bluetooth remote that works great.
No. 2 Alexa Dot
Speaking of music, I cannot work without my Alexa Dot. This allows me to continue walking and be productive. I use Alexa to play music, set timers, and reminders, make phone calls, and track my recent Amazon purchases.
No. 3 Adjustable Standing Desk
I inherited my grandfather’s mid-century modern L-desk and I did not want to give that up in order to walk and work. So, I improvised with an adjustable standing desk to accompany it. There are a ton to choose from on Amazon, but I love this particular one because it’s very minimal and large enough to fit my big monitor.
No. 4 Apple Watch Ankle Strap
The most accurate way to track your steps when walking is to use an apple watch ankle strap. This strap is soft, comfortable, and fits a variety of sizes.
No. 5 Office Chair
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t walk the entire day, at least most days. During 2 different workdays, I actually completed a half marathon. When I’m not walking, I lower my standing desk and take a sit in my super comfortable office chair.
Do you like to walk and work? If so, I’d love to hear more about what products you use! Please note, there are affiliate links in this post; just wanted to give you a heads up.
