Rebrand for Photographer and Videographer Cobblestone Weddings

This ethereal, elevated rebrand for photographer and videographer Cobblestone Weddings brings timeless romance, serenity, and authenticity. I had the pleasure of meeting Savannah and Will, owners of Cobblestone, in college. When they reached out for help on their brand I was over the moon! No pun intended – you’ll see why I say that in a minute 😉

The story behind Cobblestone Weddings

Cobblestone Photography & Videography, run by husband-and-wife team Savanna and Will, specializes in capturing authentic, timeless love stories through both photo and film. Their approach is all about creating an experience where couples feel relaxed, present, and confident that their most cherished moments are being preserved with care.

Cobblestone is a play on their last name, but invokes more than that. In their own words…

“A cobblestone street a couple walks down at night after a lovely date and some cocktails, dancing in the moonlight. It invokes a timeless piece of stone in ancient streets like Charleston or somewhere in Europe.”

Why a Rebrand was Needed

While Savannah and Will experienced a growing client base, it was due in part to networking. They have a good web of planners and venues that feed work to them. Because of this, they became complacent with their branding, website, and on social media.

This spring, they plan to move across the country to the east coast, so will not still have the same community to help bring clients in their doors. The need for them to establish strong brand visuals and a website presence became top priority.

As your business grows and changes, it is important to ensure that you cultivate an immersive and memorable experience that you also feel connected to. From the color palette, to typography, iconography, patterns, and textures; I crafted a brand for Cobblestone that does just that.

The Branding Process

At the core of Cobblestone’s rebrand was the desire to evoke serenity, timeless romance, and authenticity while maintaining a modern, elevated feel. I began by clarifying their core values which include timeless storytelling, effortless stress-free client experience, authenticity and connection, and artistic excellence. Cobblestone is known for timeless and heartfelt wedding photography and videography that allows couples to soak in every moment of their wedding day, knowing their unique love story is being preserved with care and artistry.

Logo Design

Inspired by the quiet beauty of the night sky and soft glow of moonlight, this logo design incorporates a delicate moon symbol. Representing tranquility, timelessness, and the passage of time; this detail in the logo evokes a romantic feeling. The serif used in the primary logo type offers a high-end timeless touch while the clean, modern sans serif is a nice pairing to support the logo.

Lunar Iconography & Textural Elements

This project was heavy on the iconography. Savannah and Will wanted a variety of icons and brand marks for them to utilize in different areas of their business. The moon icon was a bit out of my comfort zone and definitely gave me a much needed challenge.

Moons have an incredible amount of detail, so I had to strike the perfect balance—preserving its character without overcomplicating it, ensuring it could scale beautifully. This particular client was drawn to moon imagery, inspired by the romance of a cobblestone street—a couple strolling hand in hand after a dreamy date, the glow of the moon overhead, the charm of ancient streets in Charleston or Europe.

Subtle Star & Lunar Accents add an artistic, dreamlike quality to the overall brand aesthetic. I incorporated these elements into a custom pattern design for Savanna and Will to use on their website and social media. Textural gradients provide the romantic feeling that dusk evokes.
